Danny, I remember talking to Ms. Lanpher, as well as some other teachers who had you in their classes your freshman year and they were telling me how disruptive and disrespectful you were. I was sure that they were talking about someone else because that was not the student that I had in my class. The Daniel Zamora that I had in class was energetic, talented, and was always respectful to me. Then you said to me “I’m not like this in other classes” and I knew that they really were talking about the Danny that I had in class. I’m not sure why you chose to pay attention and behave in my class - but I sure am glad you did - and I’m really glad that that behavior eventually made it into your other classes as well!
You really did pull it together and become a joy to have in class and a responsible student - but still with that energy that I thought was so great in my class. That energy and questioning nature you will get you far, even if they get you in trouble sometimes! I’m really glad that you went from being “curtain Danny” to “Stage Manager Danny” as just a sophomore. I know you didn’t want to do it - but you did a great job and I hope that you ended up enjoying that experience. I wish I could be there for your graduation! Make sure you keep me updated with all that you do.
